October 19 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church Shelby and William were united. They celebrated afterwards with friends and family at The Brownstone.

KD: What is your proposal story?

Shelby: We had just gotten home from our weekend hunting trip. We were both exhausted. William started a fire in our fire place, I went to let the dogs out and when I turned back around he was on one knee in front of our fireplace. 

KD: Where did you go for your first date?

Shelby: We went to Cabela’s and Granite City for our first date. We were supposed to go to the Ottawa car show but it ended up getting rained out. 

KD: How did you two meet?

Shelby: William and I met through mutual friends out while cruising Wanamaker. 

KD: How long have you been together?

Shelby: We have been together for 8 years. We are high school sweet hearts!

KD: Who is the first to fall asleep at night?

Shelby: Shelby falls asleep first almost every night but it’s because she works three jobs.

When the earring won’t go in you just push it through.

KD: Who initiated the first kiss?

Shelby: William did. When we were out on Wanamaker and I was getting ready to leave.

KD: What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding night? After getting hitched?

Shelby: Getting to call William my HUSBAND! 

KD: Who said I love you first?

Shelby.

KD: If you could describe your partner in 3 words what would they be?

Shelby: Amazing, good looking, and loving. 

KD: What are favorite date night activities?

Shelby: Our favorite date night activities would be eating take out at home while watching a movie on the couch. 

KD: Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Shelby: Jamaica in December! 

KD: Who is the better cook?

Shelby: We are both pretty great cooks. We like to take turns cooking dinner. But William has been cooking more recently since I’ve been working so much. 

KD: Who is the most social?

Shelby: Definitely Shelby. She has to be very social with her jobs so she knows a lot of the community since she works with them every day. 

KD: What are your pet names for each other?

Shelby: Babe. Baby. Boo. 

KD: What fun details will you have at your wedding that you’re most proud of? (EX: Fun themed socks or cuff links, memoirs of loved ones, awesome centerpieces) 

Shelby: The groomsmen had Marvel themed socks. 

KD: Who is older?

William.

KD: Who is more likely to deal with a spider?

Shelby: We’re both not fan of spiders. William throws tennis balls at them while Shelby gets them with shoes. 

KD: Who is in control over the remote?

William, Shelby is always asleep on the couch.

KD: What is one word you would use to describe your relationship?

Shelby: Strong.

KD: What is your favorite place?

Shelby: Home. We are both very big homebodies. 

KD: What do you two do for fun?

Shelby: We go hunting and to lots and lots of car events.
